Cold Shoulder Sweater

Hi!

I have another Pinspiration!

I love Pinterest, that’s the place I go to whenever I get stuck on a project, it gets my creative juices flowing.

I pinned this top a year ago to recreate 😒

And I finally got around to making it, Yay!

I modified Ellie and Mac’s Cold Shoulder Top, just a tad.

  • I lengthen the sleeves significantly, About 6″

  • Took 6″off the bottom of the XL pattern.
  • Omitted both of the bands.
  • Pinched and sewed the center front to give it a v neck.

Fabric

I used a waffle knit from Mily Mae Fabrics. Waffle has a great amount of horizontal stretch but no recovery. I was really nervous when it came to the straps because I knew they were going to grow. I stablize the straps with some clear elastic…it worked pretty well. I will say, I will never use waffle on this type of top again However, I do like it…it makes a cozy sweater.

Until next time,

Happy Creating!
