Ellie and Mac’s new children’s dress pattern is a great scrap buster. As you can see it has this cute peekaboo detail in the skirt that blossoms when you twirl.
The Twirl Magic Dress features a lined bodice with the option of sleeveless, short or long sleeves.
The skirt can be sewn with 2 panels or 4.

I like the 2 panels because it is so light, although… the twirl with the 4 panels is absolutely beautiful!
Also, If you are into color blocking this dress is for you, the possibilities are endless!
The dress is best suited for fabrics like cotton lycra and brushed polyester. Rayons, bamboo, anything with a crazy drape will not pull off this pattern well.
I used cotton lycra. All of the fabric is from Purpleseamstress (shipping is super faster).
My girls love it! They had so much fun twirling and crashing into each other, it made me really love it too!
