Off Shoulder Romper

This year I’ve been all for rompers. Earlier in the year I had the pleasure of testing the South Shore Romper and that pretty much jump started my low key obsession with rompers. Throwing on one garment and looking completely put together is pretty sweet in my book.

This is my third romper this year, the first being the South Shore Romper Ellie & Mac

The 2nd- Sierra Made for Mermaids

And of course I needed one for the cooler months.

Pattern

Off Shoulder Romper (Ellie & Mac)

The design options are great on this one as well, it can be made year round using the different options available. And the off the shoulder neckline is so trendy right now.

Short, 3/4 and long sleeves. Shorts, capris and pant length.

Shorts, capris and pant length.

I choose the short sleeve, pant option.

Fabric

Is a knit I found at Joanns in their spot clearance section.

I made the following alterations

  • Took a little bit out of the front pant rise.

  • Tacked down the tops of the pockets so they could lay smoother

  • Added 1/2″ to the bodice to give it more slouchiness

For next time

  • I may change the elastic waist to drawstring or just make the elastic tighter to keep the waist from falling.

I would love to make this with the shorts and in a print. Fingers crossed I get around to it, when the weather warms up again.

Happy Creating!
