Diy Girl’s Spring Dress

Hey Guys,

I have a quick one for you.

I made this cute little spring dress for my daughter’s preschool pictures.

Ellie and Mac’s School Cool Dress and Tunic is beautiful with its fluttered sleeve option. I made the dress and cut off 3 1/2 inches from the hem. It was a little too long for my taste. It hit right below the knee on my daughter. I like dresses and skirts to come at the knee or a little above it on my girls. When I took off those 3 1/2 inches the dress perked right up. I did not finish the hems on the skirt or sleeves, just left them raw. That gave it a light whimsical feel.

I used a double brushed polyester knit from Joanns. I believe there is one in blue too, just like it.

My daughter loves it and the fact that it twirls!

This dress is giving me major spring vibes! I sure wish spring and the warm weather would hurry!

Happy Creating!
