Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Over our break I sewed up this cute little top from Ellie and Mac.
I was so nervous because I wasn’t paying attention and cut the wrong fit. The pattern comes in with 3 fits; Slim, Fitted and Relaxed. I wanted to cut the fitted and ended cutting the slim. The slim looked really tight, I figured I could gift it, if I couldn’t comfortably wear it. MAN! I’m so happy it didn’t take that turn because I love this shirt!
The ruching is in the back of the shirt but it can be worn with the ruching in the front as well. I like it better with the ruching in the front, however I will probably wear it both ways.
The pattern comes with sizes XXS-5X. I cut a size XL Slim🙄. It fit perfectly but will try the fitted next time.
There are 3 sleeve options; sleeveless, long sleeves and short sleeves. Also there is a sleeve cuff.
I used a cotton spandex blend from Girl Charlee. I believe I got this for $3.25 a yard! It is so soft.
You don’t know how excited I’m to make more of these 😁!
