Heyyy!
I’m so excited! Me and my girls finally got to wear our matching joggers!
I started and almost finished this project 6 months ago! I planned on having us wear it during the spring but I had some medical issues 🤕, that left me missing the spring. By time I got better it was too hot.
I picked up Simplicity pattern 8268, it has adult and children sizes in one packet (perfect for me and my 4 year old). I planned on sizing the smallest size down for my 2 year old but umm…didn’t feel like it. I found Patterns for Pirates (P4P) an independent pattern company, baby bear joggers pattern. They also have a matching mommy pattern, would of went with that to began with if I had known. Anywho.
Looks like the picture
Size: large and child xs
Fabric: French Terry knit from Girl Charlee
I didn’t make any changes other than using the same fabric through out. It calls for a rib knit for the waist band and cuffs
*Next time I will shorten the pockets for the children’s pattern because they were way too long on the xs.
Easy pattern to sew. Pretty basic and simple.
Made the slanted pockets and cuff view.
Size: 3T
Fabric: French Terry knit
Didn’t make any changes. Easy sew. Easy print and assemble.
I love the slanted pockets and double elastic waistband.
I will probably use both patterns again. They are both easy from beginning to end.
The pants can be dress up or down depending on fabric.
Hey, even sew up a matching sweatshirt….
We styled our joggers with black tees, sneakers and jean jackets. Perfect for fall and tons of walking as we were sightseeing in Washington D.C.
Ps… this my first time working with Terry Knit and this type was similar to a towel, it was so annoying trying to finish the seams without a serger.
Recent picture of the girls pumpkin picking. Went with hoodies instead of jean jackets this time.
